Former Fox News Anchor Gretchen Carlson Attached to Epix Series ‘America Divided’

Carlson will executive produce and serve as a correspondent for season two of ‘America Divided.’

Gretchen Carlson is returning to the small screen.

Carlson, whose July 2016 lawsuit against former Fox News head honcho Roger Ailes set off a wave of departures from the network, will be a correspondent on the second season of the Epix show America Divided.

“Gretchen Carlson, who recently made her own personal story of harassment public, will take viewers to the halls of Congress to uncover a culture of sexual harassment, held in place for decades by a deeply flawed system,” according to the announcement Monday. “In addition, viewers will witness the complex and often-tedious journey of her efforts to get a bipartisan bill introduced in both the House and Senate to better help harassment victims in the workplace.”

Carlson, who will also executive produce the four-part show, first teased her involvement last month in an appearance on Politico‘s Women Rule podcast, though her representatives kept a lid on the news until Epix was ready to announce it.

In addition to Carlson, Orange Is the New Black actress Diane Guerrero, actor/comedian Nick Offerman, Empire actor Jussie Smollett and Westworld actor Martin Sensmeier have been added as correspondents. Norman Lear is returning as an executive producer for the second season of America Divided, which will air “later this year.”

Carlson, in appearances over the last few months, teased an interest in returning to television and said she turned down a proposal to run for Senate in Connecticut — though she said she won’t rule out a political run at some point.
