NBCUniversal International Taps Charlotte Bloxham as Head of Production

The move follows Jeff Wachtel becoming president of ‘London Spy’ producer NBCUniversal International Studios.

NBCUniversal International Studios has named Charlotte Bloxham as its new head of production in a newly created role.

Bloxham, most recently head of production at Fifty Fathoms Productions, will oversee scripted TV production across UK-based divisions like Heyday Television, Working Title Television and NBCUniversal International Studios.

The move follows Jeff Wachtel late last year exiting his post as chief content officer at NBCUniversal to become president of NBCUniversal International Studios, as he moved from Los Angeles to London. He replaced Michael Edelstein.

Bloxham, a veteran line producer, has TV credits that include the SS-GB and London Spy mini-series, and the Silk and Wallander TV dramas, and will be based in London.

NBCUniversal International Studios includes NBC Universal International Productions — headed by JoAnn Alfano — and production companies including Gareth Neame’s Carnival Films (Downton Abbey, Lucky Man, Jamestown, The Last Kingdom), Monkey Kingdom (Made in Chelsea), Matchbox Pictures (The Slap, Wanted) and joint ventures including Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner’s Working Title Television and David Heyman’s Heyday TV.

Wachtel also oversees a global formats business that licenses and produces content in more than 70 territories worldwide. Bloxham will report to NBCUniversal International Studios’ COO Sarah Cooper, and JoAnn Alfano, executive vp of scripted programming.
