The Spice Girls are considering ‘all possibilities’ for their recently-teased reunion, Geri Horner (aka Ginger Spice) has confirmed.
The iconic pop group recently confirmed that “the time feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together”. The rumour mill has been in overdrive for years, but recent weeks have seen world tours speculated and subsequently denied, with the prospect of some one-off shows now seeming more likely.
All five members of the girl group met up this month (February 2) to reportedly discuss reuniting for the first time since 2012. The band are believed to have talked about working on a series of upcoming projects, including TV shows, endorsements, and a greatest hits compilation.
Now, the group’s Geri Horner has told Sunday Brunch that they’re considering anything that comes their way. “We’re talking about it,” said Geri when quizzed on the possibility of new music or an upcoming tour. “We want to do something for our fans, and all the new generation. We’re just putting all the possibilities out there, so watch this space.”
She also confirmed that the group itself was “like a marriage”.
“With the Spice Girls, we got together when we were in our early 20s, and 20 years have passed – to have that connection, and maintain it, find that commonality, sometimes you’ve got to find and hold onto that,” she said. “So, it’s brilliant. We’ve got back in a room together and said, ‘Yes, let’s do something.’”
