Court documents have claimed that Fabolous punched his partner in the face seven times.
The rapper was arrested on Wednesday (March 28) on charges of domestic violence after turning himself in. He has since been released from police custody.
According to NorthJersey.com, the papers allege Fabolous (real name John Jackson) punched Love & Hip Hop star Emily Bustamante in the face seven times, causing her to lose her front two teeth. The pair have been in a relationship for 16 years.
The documents report Jackson was on a business trip to Los Angeles on March 7 and “became enraged” when he discovered via Instagram that Bustamante was also in the city. According to an apparent affidavit, she told police Jackson had sent her text in which he said he wanted to hit her in the head with a baseball bat and that he would kill her, but he “did not want to go out like that”.
The website states the documents claim Bustamante called her father and asked him to remove two guns from the home she shared with the rapper in Englewood, New Jersey because she was scared he might use them on her. When Jackson returned from Los Angeles, he allegedly confronted Bustamante, her father and her brother.
“When he could not locate the guns, the defendant left the house,” the documents said. “But not before informing the victim, her father and her brother that he had a bullet for them.” Jackson’s attorney Alberto Ebanks told Billboard of the claims: “I’ve known Fab close to 20 years and believe he is incapable of engaging in the alleged conduct.”
