Dapper Dan‘s upcoming memoir is being turned into a movie.

The upcoming Sony biopic, based on Dan‘s memoir due out in 2019, will be set in Harlem, and is described as a “high-stakes coming-of-age story,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Dan and his son and brand manager Jelani Day are set to executive produce the project alongside Jerrod Carmichael, as well as Josh Bratman.

The Harlem fashion legend outfitted some of the biggest stars of the ’80s and ’90s, including Sean “Diddy” Combs, Aaliyah and Floyd Mayweather.

Gucci recently announced a partnership with Dan, called the Dapper Dan x Gucci capsule, which will be released with their Fall 2018 collection.
