Jack White confirmed for ‘SNL’ guest appearance

The White Stripes and solo musician will be the musical guest on the celebrated sketch show on April 14

Jack White has been confirmed as an upcoming musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

The White Stripes and solo musician has just released his latest album ‘Boarding House Reach’ – his third solo studio LP.

White will promote the new record during his appearance on SNL, which is due to take place during the April 14 episode of the show. Comedian and former SNL writer John Mulaney is set to host that episode.

The 42-year-old first appeared on SNL as a member of The White Stripes back in 2002. He later returned in 2012 as a solo artist alongside host Lindsay Lohan.

His appearance on the acclaimed and long-running sketch show will follow Cardi B‘s stint as the music guest on the preceding edition of SNL, which will air on April 7. Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman will take on hosting duties for that night.

Yesterday (March 28), White celebrated the release of new album ‘Boarding House Reach’ by playing an intimate, last-minute gig at a London pub.

Fans who managed to get into the small show at the George Inn pub near London Bridge were also able to sample an exclusive Jack White ‘Humoresque’ beer at the venue, with one pint given away free to every customer.
