The internet exploded with memes of the actress after she appeared to come to some sort of realization while applauding.
Jennifer Garner introduced the “In Memoriam” segment at Sunday’s 90th Academy Awards, and since the show she’s become a viral meme — but not because of her time spent on stage.
While in the audience, the actress appeared to have some sort of epiphany when applauding. A tweet with a video of the moment quickly went viral, and in no time, Garner was a meme.

She eventually joined in on the fun in three Instagram stories, posting the video along with a lighthearted voiceover each time.
“Congrats to Shape of Water!” Garner said in one video. “Maybe I should date a fish?”

She referenced her Capital One Venture spokesperson gig in another, teasing the Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel, “Hey Jimmy Kimmel, what’s in your wallet? Wait, where’s my wallet?”
Garner concluded the series by expressing how excited she is to work with Lena Dunham on her upcoming HBO series Camping. “Can’t wait to work with Lena Dunham!” Garner said. “Wait, did I sign a nudity waiver?”
She didn’t reveal what she was really thinking during the bewildered moment, but she certainly had fun with it.
