Justin Bieber backs campaign for stricter gun control

“Help these kids”.

Justin Bieber has backed a major campaign for stricter gun control in the wake of devastating school shootings across America.

Last month, 17 people died at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida after a former pupil opened fire.

As America continues to respond to the tragic aftermath of the incident, Bieber has now backed a forthcoming march for stricter gun control – along with proposed changes in the law.

The March For Our Lives will see students descending upon Washington on March 24 in a bid to promote gun control.

Posting on Twitter, Bieber wrote: “Help these kids and sign their petition now”.

The petition was created by students and asks elected officials to approve a law that bans the sale of assault weapons, as well as prohibiting the sale of high-capacity magazines.

It will also reportedly close loopholes in background checks that allow “dangerous people who shouldn’t be allowed to purchase firearms to slip through the cracks.”

Last week, the campaign was also backed by Harry Styles.

Last week, a Welsh teenager was also jailed for life after being found guilty of plotting a terror attack on the day of a Justin Bieber concert in Cardiff.

The 17-year-old, named as Lloyd Gunton from Rhondda Cynon Taff, was detained by police on June 30, 2017, the same day as the singer’s gig at the city’s Principality Stadium, formerly known as the Millennium Stadium.
