For those who may not know, Logan’s Run is a sci-fi film from the 70s directed by Michael Anderson and based on the novel written by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. The movie is set in a dystopian future where mankind lives in a cluster of sealed domes. Society is run by a computer that takes care of all aspects of life, creating a hedonistic lifestyle. However, in order to control resources and overpopulation, anyone who turns 30 is vaporized and “reborn.” Anyone who tries to escape this is called a Runner and it’s the responsibility of the Sandmen to hunt them down and kill them. Logan 5 is one such Sandman, but a chance encounter with a girl leads him to become a Runner and search for the fabled Sanctuary.
