Watch Foo Fighters mash-up John Lennon and Van Halen

Foo Fighters have shared a clip of them performing a mashup of John Lennon and Van Halen.

The band, who are currently rehearsing for their upcoming tours, shared a clip of their performance on Twitter.

The performance features the lyrics of Van Halen’s ‘Jump’ against the music of Lennon’s ‘Imagine.’

Sharing the clip to Twitter, Dave Grohl wrote: “Woodshedding for the summer tour has never felt so good….see you out there….(I’ll learn the words by then, I swear) Thanks to Mighty Mike for the inspirado. (Oh, and Halen and Lennon, too)”

The band are currently on the road in South America and will embark on a US run of shows before beginning their Europe and UK gigs in June.

Recently, the band announced the support acts for the European tour – with acts including Wolf Alice, The Kills, Slaves and Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes joining them on the road.

Foo Fighters recently won Best International group at The BRIT Awards, where they took to the stage to perform ‘The Sky Is A Neighbourhood’ on the roof of a house.

While collecting their Best International Group trophy from Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane and pop star Camila Cabello, Grohl said: “Thank you very much for this award. This means a lot to us because we’ve been coming to the UK for 20-some years now. We’ve always considered this place a second home.

“You’ve been the best audience in the world. You taught us how to be a band, so thank you very much for this award.”

Speaking to NME, Liam Gallagher recently revealed that the Foo Fighters wanted to collaborate with him.

He said: “They keep texting me, man. They wanted to do one tune, but I dunno – I’ll do it one day, but I’m too busy doing this at the moment. But I do like them – I think Foo Fighters have got good tunes. I think Dave Grohl’s very talented, and so is the band.”
