Krept And Konan are opening their own dessert restaurant

Krept & Konan have announced the grand opening of their own dessert restaurant in London.

A few years ago, the British rap duo joked on Twitter that they would “have a dessert chain restaurant one day called ‘Crepes And Cones’.

Well, that’s now a reality. Having teased fans of progress on the restaurant via Instagram, now they’ve announced that their first branch will open in Croydon on May 12. “We said it in 2014 and realised that in life you just have to go for it,” said Krept & Konan. “Dreams to reality.”

Celebrating the news on Instagram, Casyo “Krept” Johnson wrote: “After working on this for over two years, I’m so proud to announce that me and Konan are opening our restaurant next week.

“We do crepes, waffles, grilled food, chicken, burgers, ribs, hot dogs to name a few. Yes, it’s halal. And we even have vegan options and ice cream. We do cocktails, mockatils, slushes, milkshakes, everything. Honestly, [I’ve] put my blood sweat and tears into this. We even have a private room to hire.”

He continued: “It’s disabled friendly, child friendly also. So much up and downs making this. I even became a builder at one stage lol. But we are finally here. I said we would do this years ago and made it happen. How, I have no idea – but believe me you can do anything you set to.”

Drake has since shared his blessing, commenting on the post: “Wow!!! Congrats to the man-dem”

The South London duo released their acclaimed debut album ‘The Long Way Home’ in 2015. Their last release came this year with double mixtape ‘Seven Days/Seven Nights‘. Speaking to NME last year, they spoke out about what to expect from here.

“We’ve still got to release videos from our two projects that have just come out,” Casyo “Krept” Johnson told NME. “We just went top ten with both of those mixtapes. We’re working on our album and some singles. After we release a project, we don’t take gaps. We want to be straight and consistent like pow-pow-pow-pow.”

Meanwhile, Krept & Konan will also be playing their biggest headline show to date with a huge gig at London’s Alexandra Palace on October 25. For tickets and information, visit here.
