1. Steph and Ayesha Curry were just 15 and 14 years old when they met through their church’s youth group in Charlotte, North Carolina.
2. They bonded over Toronto, a city both of them had previously lived in. Ayesha is a Toronto native and Steph had lived there while his father wrapped up his NBA career with the Raptors.
3. When Ayesha would visit family in Toronto, she would bring back Maynards Fuzzy Peach candy for Steph.

5. During summer 2008, Steph reached out to Ayesha via Facebook while they were both in Los Angeles. Ayesha had moved there to pursue acting and Steph was attending the ESPY awards.
6. Their first date was spent exploring Hollywood Boulevard, drinking chai tea lattes, and taking pictures with Marilyn Monroe impersonators.
7. At one point, Steph tried to go in for a kiss mid-conversation and Ayesha rejected him.
8. Their actual first kiss took place in Charlotte, in Steph’s parents’ driveway.
9. Steph recalled meeting Ayesha’s extended family when picking her up for a movie date. The movie of choice? Step Brothers.
10. In 2010, Steph proposed to Ayesha in his parents’ driveway — the same spot they shared their first kiss.
11. On July 30, 2011, Steph and Ayesha tied the knot in Charlotte. They had 420 guests at their wedding!
12. Their first dance was to “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.
13. They honeymooned in Bora Bora for 10 days. Not too long after, Ayesha was pregnant with their first baby.
14. Today, the Currys have two daughters: Riley, 6, and Ryan, 3.
15. They became a family of five in July when they welcomed their first son, Canon.
16. The Currys also have two furbabies: Reza and Rookie.
17. Steph and Ayesha have matching tattoos that serve as a reminder to be present in the moment.
18. As a pregame ritual, Steph and Ayesha signal to each other and tap their tattoos.

23. It may be tempting to refer to The Currys as relationship goals (guilty), but don’t! They aren’t fans of the phrase and just want people to “live their own lives the way they want to.”
