It’s “unlike any of her previous or upcoming UK shows”
St Vincent has confirmed details of a last-minute London show next week, with tickets going on sale at midday today (August 29).
After headlining End of The Road festival next weekend, Annie Clark will hold court at the 950-capacity Cadogan Hall on September 4. Described as “unlike any of her previous or upcoming UK shows”, it’ll be a stripped-back, intimate affair that’ll see her accompanied only by piano player Thomas Bartlett.
You can buy tickets here from 12pm today.
The London show comes at the end of a busy festival season that has seen Clark playing to fans in some of Europe’s most famous fields.
Back in June, she also teamed up with Sheryl Crow to release their collaborative new single ‘Wouldn’t Want to Be Like You’. Clark lends her backing and co-lead vocals to the song, as well as her trademark distorted guitar.
“I called her and said, ‘I am dying to have you bring your St. Vincent-ness to this.’ And I said, ‘You will not hurt my feelings if you don’t like the song,’” Crow told Billboard of the collaboration.
“And I sent it to her, and her response was, ‘Fuck yeah.’ That was a direct quote, as only Annie Clark can respond, which I loved. She did all kinds of stuff on it, and we pretty much used all of it.”
