‘Love It If We Made It’ is the second release from the band’s forthcoming record ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’.

It follows ‘Give Yourself A Try’, released in May, which hears the band experiment in lo-fi indie. ‘Love It If We Made It’ is a more polemical piece of electro-pop, as decoded here by NME.

When frontman Matty Healy spoke to Zane Lowe about the single in July, he said it “has lot of the ethos of the record.

“I think it’s quite inward, even though I try and speak about larger things than myself, I try to use myself as the frame to do so. Especially on ‘Love It If We Made It’, it’s quite outward. It’s me looking out. It’s an interesting one cos there’s not a lot of context and a lot of the things I say in that are direct quotes from people or they’re headlines that I’ve read.”

Healy has said the new album is currently scheduled for release in October.

The 1975’s next single ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’ premieres as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on her BBC Radio 1 show at 7.30pm this Wednesday, August 15.

Another album called ‘Notes On A Conditional Form’ is planned for release in May 2019.

Healy recently wrote on Twitter that the band are relocating to LA to record it.
