Liam also gave an update on the long-mooted Oasis reunion
Liam Gallagher has dropped a major hint that he could be headlining next year’s Glastonbury Festival.
The former Oasis man headlined Pilton Party for the festival yesterday (August 31) with a career-spanning set, and today tweeted a strong hint that he could be back for Glastonbury next summer.
Gallagher gave thanks to Glastonbury organisers Emily and Michael Eavis, and then tellingly said: “see you both nxt year”, igniting rumours that he could be headlining the Pyramid in 2019.
Big thanx to the ever delightful Michael and Emily eavis for last night see you both nxt year as you were LG x

Answering the fan in a reply to the tweet, Gallagher also gave an update on the chances of a long-mooted Oasis reunion, blaming the lack of action on his brother Noel’s wife Sara McDonald.
“I’m up for it anytime the other fellas Mrs won’t let him as it’s to rowdy for her she’s app POSH”, the singer said.

During a performance of ‘Wonderwall’ at yesterday’s Pilton show Gallagher changed the lyrics, singing: “There are many things that I would like to say to you but I don’t speak Glastonburyish,” to loud applause and cheering.
Meanwhile the odds of Arctic Monkeys playing the Pyramid in 2019 were slashed yesterday, making them among the favourites to headline.
Alex Turner and co. have shot from 9/2 odds to 11/4, placing them as fourth favourites behind frontrunner Kendrick Lamar (7/4), Elton John (9/4) and Kylie Minogue (5/2)
Also on the list of favourites are Stormzy (7/2), Fleetwood Mac (9/2) and ABBA (5/1). No names have been officially confirmed yet, but Emily Eavis did drop a couple of huge clues earlier this year. She said that the Legend’s Slot will be filled by a “non-British female”, and that Paul McCartney is “top of their list” to headline.
Meanwhile, a fake Glastonbury poster started doing the social media rounds earlier this week, and placed McCartney, Madonna and Lady Gaga as its three headliners.
