Cave In and Old Man Gloom announce one-off UK show

The two will co-headline the Electric Ballroom

Cave In and Old Man Gloom will perform at London’s Electric Ballroom next spring in a co-headline show.

The show will be a celebration of bassist Caleb Scofield, who died earlier this year following a car crash. He was 39 years old.

Speaking about the event, Stephen Brodsky of Cave In said: “The UK holds countless memories of crazy times with Cave In, and we’re more than excited for our first London show in 10+ years.

“It will be our pleasure to give the good people of England a chance to celebrate the life and art of Caleb Schofield, by offering a partial donation of proceeds from that night to the Scofield family.

“We hope that you’ll join us and our close friends Old Man Gloom, as well as one of your finest musical exports Bossk, for this very special occassion.” The band announced the news on social media, much to the excitement of fans:

Old Man Gloom also teased another tour date, writing on Twitter: “We’re announcing 1 more show in Europe on our roadburn run. It’s probably not where u live, unless of course u live there.

“So please tell me all the places you live so I can tell you we aren’t playing there. And if it’s Texas I’m gonna punch your face because that isn’t Europe.”

Cave In recently played a sold out show at Los Angeles’ Wiltern, which also helped to raise funds for the family of the late Scofield.
