The Pharrell-narrated reboot is out next month
Tyler, The Creator‘s version of the theme from The Grinch has been released. Stream the animated lyric video below.
The track, titled ‘You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch’, is taken from the soundtrack to the upcoming Dr. Seuss reboot. It was teased in the movie’s trailer last month. Tyler also penned an original track called ‘I Am the Grinch’ for the CGI Christmas movie.
Other artists featured on the OST include Run-DMC, The Supremes and longtime Tim Burton collaborator Danny Elfman. The latter sang songs as Jack Skellington in Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The 2018 remake of The Grinch is also released November 9. It stars Pharrell Williams as the narrator of the festive tale – along with Benedict Cumberbatch, Kenan Thompson, and Angela Lansbury.
Meanwhile, Tyler, The Creator recently released a new instrumental version of his 2015 album ‘Cherry Bomb’.
Tyler’s last full-length release, ‘Flower Boy’ was released in 2017. As well as his musical contributions to The Grinch, he has recently compiled a playlist from his school days for Solange‘s Saint Heron.
