It’s the latest track to be previewed from the singer’s upcoming second studio album
Zayn has released a new song, ‘Fingers’ – listen to the laid-back slice of R&B below.
This track is the latest offering to be previewed from the former One Direction singer’s upcoming second studio album, which will follow 2016’s ‘Mind of Mine’.
‘Fingers’ has been released today (October 18) as momentum continues to build towards the release of his sophomore record, which is said to be “a culmination of his experiences and inspirations from the past two years”.
The track – which lyrically tells the tale “of an unrequited romance through the phone” – was written and recorded by Zayn in London over the summer. You can listen to ‘Fingers’ below.

This new single is the fifth solo track to be released by Zayn this year, following on from ‘Let Me’, ‘Entertainer’, ‘Sour Diesel’ and ‘Too Much’, which featured the super-producer Timbaland.
Zayn previously claimed back in March that his new album had already been completed, telling fans that “it’s a bit different to my last record in terms of it’s matured, [I’ve] got a bit older.”
As well as original material, Zayn has also released a cover of an Elvis Presley track this year. The sleek rendition of the late icon’s 1961 song ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ came out back in July.
