Tracee Ellis Ross Wore Mostly Black Designers To Host The American Music Awards

Last night, award-winning actress Tracee Ellis Ross hosted the 2018 American Music Awards. And being that she’s queen of laughs and looks, the Black-ish star made a point to spotlight 11 black fashion designers throughout the night. “I’ve featured black designers in all of my @AMAs press looks, and will do the same for all my show looks tonight!” she tweeted before the show.

This major fashion statement mirrors Issa Rae’s decision to wear only black designers at this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards, where she also made history as the first person of color to host the show in its 37-year history (Remember that ICONIC Pyer Moss “Every N**** Is A Star” belt?”)

Who else is here for all this inclusive black-on-black support? *Raises both hands*

So without further ado, here are all of Tracee’s stunning looks from last night:

Kerby Jean-Raymond (Pyer Moss)

Shanel Campbell and Aminah Abdul Jillil

 Virgil Abloh (Off-White)

 Olivier Rousteing for Balmain

Claude Lavie Kameni (Lavie by CK)
