It’s the opening track of their upcoming album

Smashing Pumpkins have shared the new song called ‘Knights of Malta’ – listen below.

The song opens the band’s new album, ‘Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.’ which is released next Friday (November 16).

Smashing Pumpkins’ founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, and longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder feature on the new record, which is the band’s tenth studio album. They’ve already shared ‘Solara’ and ‘Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)’ and are about to embark on a series of 30th anniversary shows.

An initial 30th anniversary celebration show was held by the band earlier this summer. Courtney Love joined the band onstage to play Hole songs and other special guests included performances by Peter Hook (Joy Division) and Chino Moreno (Deftones).

In other recent news, the band have shared the first taster of unreleased music from the upcoming reissue of ‘Machina’.
