The musicians joined forces at a gala in Los Angeles
Dave Grohl, Beck, and St. Vincent performed a cover of Blondie‘s ‘Rapture’ at a gala event in Los Angeles this weekend.
Grohl and Beck performed together at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Eighth Annual Art + Film Gala, with the Foo Fighters drumming as his fellow musician sang his own tracks, including ‘Devil’s Haircut’, ‘Loser’, and ‘Where It’s At’. The pair also delivered a series of covers by artists like Led Zeppelin, Talking Heads, and Van Halen.
They were joined by St. Vincent for the rendition of ‘Rapture’, which you can watch in the fan-shot footage below.
The event wasn’t the first time Grohl and Beck had performed together lately. Last week (November 1), the musicians collaborated at an event encouraging attendees to vote in the US midterm elections, while, in September, they joined forces at another political fundraiser.
Meanwhile, Grohl has revealed the one band he still wants to play drums for. The former Nirvana drummer has worked with many big stars throughout his career, including The Melvins, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Tenacious D, Queens Of The Stone Age, and David Bowie. However, he said in a new interview there was still one to tick off his bucket list.
Earlier this year, the Foo Fighters man spoke out on how he believed the rise of artists like Marilyn Manson set the popularity of grunge in decline.
