Bros confirm details of London comeback show this summer

They’re back…

Bros have confirmed details of a London comeback show this summer, after a documentary transformed the iconic pop duo into unlikely stars once more.

Bros: After The Screaming Stops aired on BBC Four in December 2018 and attracted unexpected comparisons to This Is Spinal Tap and The Office as a result of the one-liners uttered by Luke and Matt Goss in the film.

But it also attracted acclaim for its intimate look at the strained relationship between the twin brothers – and the rocky road to their comeback shows at London’s O2 Arena in July 2017.

Now, the duo have confirmed that they’ll return once more after the documentary sparked a huge increase in their popularity.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Luke and Matt Goss confirmed a show at the O2 Academy Brixton in July, marking a return to their native South London.

“We’re gonna do some shows. July 5 we’re gonna play Brixton Academy,” Luke Goss said.

“Tickets will go on sale January 19 and there’s gonna be more. We’re gonna play some shows this year in the UK and around the world.”

The confirmation of the shows comes after documentary director Joe Pearlman exclusively told NME that the band were finalising plans for their live comeback.

“They’re definitely talking about shows this year! I can’t talk about exact details at the moment, but there are going to be Bros shows this year – although I expect they’ll get a very different audience. They’ve got a whole new audience now. People might not always love their music but they love them – that’s important,” said Pearlman.
