We’re taking it back to 2004…
The Rasmus will celebrate their album ‘Dead Letters’ with a string of UK tour dates in 2019, it’s been announced.
The Finnish rockers broke through with their fifth studio album back in 2004, with its lead single ‘In The Shadows’ landing at Number 3 in the UK’s Official Charts.
Having released four LPs since, including follow-up ‘Hide From The Sun’ in 2005, the Lauri Ylönen-fronted band are now taking “the most important album in the history of The Rasmus” on the road in October. Dates include a show at London’s O2 Forum in Kentish Town.

In a statement, the band said: “Dead Letters is the most important album in the history of The Rasmus. At the time of the release in 2003, we had already existed almost 10 years and were on the threshold of adulthood as a band. With self-confidence and curiosity, the fear of the future defined our new style and identity for good.
“We want to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this album by diving back into that dark world and playing it live from start to finish.”
They continued: “We are super excited about this. The album is very theatrical and has strong imagery. We want to bring that visual world to the live performances.”
The band added that some of the record’s cuts will make their live debut on the celebratory tour, which is scheduled to kick off in Manchester on October 7.
