Watch Drake join A$AP Rocky for a surprise appearance in LA

The two duetted on ‘Nonstop’ and ‘Sicko Mode’

A$AP Rocky surprised fans by bringing out Drake to join him on stage in Los Angeles yesterday evening.

As part of his ‘Injured Generation Tour’, A$AP Rocky had already brought out Playboi Cardi, Ski Mask The Slump God and Comethazine as openers but surprised fans further when he brought out Drake during ‘Nonstop’ and Travis Scott’s ‘Sicko Mode.’

Drake was brought onstage shortly after A$AP Rocky performed ‘Fuckin’ Problems’, his collaboration with Drake. The words “Stop test. Special guest, please reveal yourself…Let’s continue this test” voiced over the loud speaker before Drake appeared.

You can watch clips of the surprise collaboration here:

Late last year, a surprise new single from A$AP Rocky, ‘Sundress’, sampled Tame Impala’s ‘Why Won’t You Make Up Your Mind?’

‘Sundress’ was co-produced by Danger Mouse and features an interpolation of the beat from the Tame Impala track ‘Why Won’t You Make Up Your Mind?’ The song featured on the band’s first album ‘InnerSpeaker’.

Rumours of a Rocky and Tame Impala collaboration had been swirling around since 2014. More recently, Kevin Parker reportedly contributed a song called ‘Pretty Guy’ to Rocky’s third studio album, ‘Testing’. The song has, however, yet to see the light of day.

In other Drake news, McDonald’s corrected earlier reports this week that Drizzy tipped two employees $10,000 each at a Los Angeles branch – it was in fact $100 each.

Fans posted pictures of the rapper, flanked by his security guards, talking to staff in the fast food joint on Twitter over the weekend. It’s unclear whether he actually purchased any food.

The PR company that represents McDonald’s has since confirmed with CNN entertainment reporter Chloe Melas that the rapper tipped the employees $100 each.
