It was the band’s first live outing in the capital since playing at The O2 back in November
Mumford & Sons played a special intimate gig to just 150 fans in a London pub tonight (February 6) – check out the setlist and live-streamed footage from the show below.
The last-minute surprise show marked the band’s first live outing in the capital since a sell-out date in front of 20,000 fans at The O2 back on November 29, which was part of their recent UK and Ireland arena tour in support of the release of their fourth studio album ‘Delta’.
Mumford & Sons announced the show on the Facebook fan group Agora earlier today, and the gig saw 150 fans turn up to The World’s End pub in Finsbury Park for the 9pm start time. The band then performed an acoustic seven-song set, where they sat in amongst the fans who had gathered to watch.
“We haven’t played a pub in a while,” frontman Marcus Mumford reportedly said at one point. “This all feels a bit out of our comfort zone…”
Part of the show was live-streamed on the Mumford & Sons’ Facebook page, and you can see that below.
