Performed on Trent Reznor’s home turf

Marcus Mumford and the band, who are currently on the road in support of their latest album ‘Delta‘, were performing in Trent Reznor‘s home-city of Cleveland last night (March 9). During the gig at Quicken Loans Arena, the group offered up a rendition of Nine Inch Nails’ 1995 classic, ‘Hurt’.
As Mumford delivered its opening lines, the crowd welcomed the cover with cheers and applause. Beginning as a delicate ballad, Mumford & Sons’ version built to a climax of pounding piano chords and an anthemic guitar line.

Meanwhile, Mumford & Sons have recently been announced as the final headliners of All Points East 2019. Supporting the band at London’s Victoria Park on June 1 will be the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Leon Bridges, and The Vaccines.
Last month, the band surprised played a tiny surprise show at The World’s End pub in London. “We haven’t played a pub in a while,” Marcus Mumford told the 150 attendees. “This all feels a bit out of our comfort zone…”
Mumford & Sons will release the ‘Delta Acoustic Sessions’ vinyl for this year’s Record Store Day, which takes place on Saturday April 13.
