The singer has reportedly checked into an in-patient facility
Demi Lovato has been released from hospital and checked into an in-patient facility, according to reports.
The singer suffered a suspected drug overdose last month (July 24) at her Hollywood Hills home.
According to People, the star was released from Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Hospital on August 4 and was moved to an unnamed in-patient facility.
A source told the magazine: “Demi left the hospital over the weekend. She will get continued care at an in-patient rehab facility. At the hospital, she was surrounded by family and friends that support her sobriety. They all want Demi to be the best she can. […] She has a long journey ahead, but with all the love, her journey could absolutely be a positive one.”

Last night (August 5), Lovato posted her first statement about the incident on her Instagram page. “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” she wrote. “What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”
She also thanked God, her fans, family, team and the staff at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in the note. She signed off by promising: “I will keep fighting.”
In June, the star released a song called ‘Sober’, which detailed her battle with substance abuse and how she had recently relapsed after six years of sobriety.
