50 Cent has been roundly criticised online, after the rapper appeared to take back money that he had thrown at a stripper.
The incident occurred last weekend at Angels strip club in Queens, New York where the rapper was seen showering scores of topless dancers with single dollar bills.
But it seems that he wasn’t as charitable as it initially seemed, with video footage showing him as he scoops up the huge wads of cash and proceeds to walk away.
Posting the footage on Instagram, the star wrote: “See how I get when they start trying to be cute. I’m taking the money back.”
He added: “‘Shorty was mad about something. She said some s**t I said what’s wrong with her? Then I just said f**k it I’m taking the money back.”
In a follow-up video, he claimed that the club “owe me money”.
Responding to the video, one Instagram user wrote: “F***ing scumbag. It doesn’t matter who you are or how much money you have, no one has the right to take money from someone they are paying for a service.
“If you want your money back take it to court. Scum. Absolute scum.”
Another said on Twitter: “50 cent is my type of petty. My guy took the ones back from a stripper because she had an attitude.’”
The nightclub is yet to directly respond to the rapper’s behaviour.
A source told Page Six: “He took the money from the strippers’ dance floor and moved it to the bartenders because the dancers were trying to fight the bartenders over him.”
