The singer attended a show on the Aubrey and the Three Migos tour
Drake has responded to Adele‘s praise for his recent LA show, which she called one of her “favourite shows of all time”.
The rapper played at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Friday night (October 12) as part of his Aubrey & The Three Migos tour. As the name suggests, rap trio Migos have been supporting him on the run of dates.
After the gig, Adele took to Twitter to share her thoughts on Drake’s performance. “Oiii Champagne Papi blew my mind tonight! Best production I’ve ever seen hands down and way up there with one of my favourite shows of all time. Huge love.”
Drake responded in a post on his Instagram page, where he shared a screenshot of the award-winning singer’s tweet. “Oiiiiiii don’t fucking get me gassed right now I love this woman and she came to the show,” he wrote. “Thank god nobody told me I would have been SHOOK.”
The show, which was the first of seven for the Toronto rapper in LA, also saw him bring out Chris Brown to perform ‘Party’. Beforehand, Drake introduced him by calling him “one of the most talented human beings on the planet.”
Meanwhile, Drake spoke about his feuds with Pusha-T and Kanye West earlier this week. Appearing on LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s show The Shop, the star explained why he never responded to Pusha’s diss track, ‘The Story Of Adidon’.
Revealing he had made a response song, he said he had shelved it after listening back to it and thinking, “Man, this is not something I ever want to be remembered for. This is not even a place I necessarily want to go.”
