Grande has hit the number 1-3 spots with songs from her latest album, ‘Thank u, next’
Ariana Grande has become the first artist since The Beatles to hold all three top spots on The Billboard Hot 100 chart, it was announced today.
Grande holds the number 1, 2, and 3 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart simultaneously, the first time since The Beatles in 1964. Her album. ‘Thank u, next’ also debuted at number 1 on the albums chart. The pop star released the LP last week (February 8), just six months after her previous record, ‘Sweetener’.
Grande’s ‘7 Rings’ is at number 1 for a fourth week, whilst ‘Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored’ made its debut at number 2. ‘Thank u, next’, meanwhile, went to number 3 from 7. All three songs are taken from Grande’s number 1 album of the same name.
Between March and April 1964, The Beatles held the top three spots for five weeks before eventually claiming all the top five spots.

Last week, Grande also made history in the UK when ‘Thank U, Next’ entered the Official UK Albums Chart at number one, while on the Official UK Singles Chart also holding the top two spots with ‘Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored’ (number one) and ‘7 Rings’ (number two).
She is the first female artist in history to hold both the Number One album and top two singles in the UK, the Official Charts Company has reported.
Grande is also the first female artist to replace herself at Number One on the singles chart. ‘7 Rings’ was in the top spot before ‘Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored’ was released.
Grande is now the fourth artist ever to have three number one singles in under 100 days, joining Elvis Presley, John Lennon, and Justin Bieber.
‘Thank U, Next’ also broke the record for most album streams ever by a female artist in one week, surpassing the star’s previous record for ‘Sweetener’. It received 59 million streams across its 12 tracks and is now the third most streamed album in its first week of release, coming behind Ed Sheeran’s ‘÷’ and Drake’s ‘Scorpion’.
In a recent appearance on The Zach Sang Show, Grande revealed that she had written an alternative version of ‘Thank U, Next’’s title track in case she did marry Pete Davidson.
Three versions were written in total, because, the star said, “I’m like super shy when it comes to pitching wild things, so I was like, ‘Is it insane if I name people and thank them directly in the song?’”
