The pop star has followed up last year’s single ‘Party For One’
Carly Rae Jepsen has shared two new tracks, ‘Now That I Found You’ and ‘No Drug Like Me’.
The pop star previously shared a preview of the first song in the trailer for Queer Eye season three. She also gave fans other hints about the tracks on social media.
‘Now That I Found You’ features a club-ready base over which Jepsen sings about falling in love. “I think I’m coming alive with you,” she sings at one point. She described the song as being about “the high you get when a new love starts to change your life.”
‘No Drug Like Me’, meanwhile, takes the form of an ‘80s-influenced, synth-pop led power ballad. In a press release, Jepsen said: “[It’s] a promise I made to love in general. That when the good stuff lands my way I’ll always try to be vulnerable and brave and show all of myself – ‘If you make me feel in love then I’ll blossom for you’.”

The tracks follow Jepsen’s 2018 single, ‘Party For One’. While speaking about that song upon its release, the star confirmed her fourth album is on the way.
“To me ‘Party For One’ is an anthem of what it is to celebrate time with yourself, which is a hard thing for people to really enjoy sometimes, and it’s something I’m learning to do more and more,” she said. “This song represents a lot of what this album is about for me which is romantic love but self-love too.”
In 2016, the singer gave an update on what sounds she’d been working with on her new material, saying: “I can’t explain what we’re doing right now, but we’re very much into disco-y things, whatever this next album may or may not turn out to be.
“But I’m very much referencing ABBA a lot, and The Bee Gees, all of that stuff. It’s fun to dig into oldies and see what you can celebrate about it, like a good movie or good song – to take your favourite pieces of something and add some new stuff to create something different.”
In December 2017, Jepsen collaborated with Charli XCX on the song ‘Backseat’. It featured on the latter’s mixtape ‘Pop 2’.
