Fox’s musical drama pilot Mixtape has found its leading lady.

Mixtape is described as a romantic musical drama that looks at a disparate group of interconnected people in contemporary Los Angeles through the lens of the music that defines who they are. Former Smash showrunner Safran penned the script for the drama, which is produced by Annapurna Television and 20th Century Fox Television. Annapurna’s Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle will exec produce alongside Safran and Ali Krug, the latter of whom is set as a co-EP.
Hernandez recently completed two seasons of Epix comedy Graves and counts features Alien: Covenant, La La Land and Blair Witch among her credits. She’ next appears in Amazon drama Too Old to Die Young. She’s repped by CAA, Management 360 and Loeb and Loeb.
