In one of the best scenes in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rey confronts Supreme Leader Snoke is his chamber with Kylo Ren. Snoke, thinking there’s no limit to how much you can berate and emotionally manipulate someone until they bite back, orders Kylo to kill Rey. Kylo opts to attack Snoke instead, remotely slicing him in half before Snoke even got up from his chair. It’s a genuinely shocking moment, mostly because it subverts bad guy tropes by killing the villain in the middle of the movie. But Star Wars being Star Wars, it’s not like there isn’t an opportunity for Snoke to come back in some way.
