Avengers: Infinity War Japanese Poster is Here

With less than a month before the release of Avengers: Infinity War, a new Japanese poster unites Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against Thanos. Though it’s been ten years in the making, the culmination of the MCU to date has almost begun. While we don’t yet know the story or scope of the Phase 4-ending Avengers 4, next month’s Avengers: Infinity War looks ready to drastically alter the landscape of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are a lot of characters to juggle and plenty of story arcs to both finish and begin, in addition to Thanos playing the lead in a MCU film for the first time.

While the Mad Titan will make his way to earth with an army in tow, he will be a formidable force all on his own. As such, nearly every character in the MCU will have to set aside their grievances and come together for a feat that fans are still eagerly awaiting to see if it can be pulled off. In the meantime, additional promos have been released for the film, including TV spots focusing on Black Widow fighting the Black Order and Thor meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, the latest poster for the movie brings most of its many heroes together.

Marvel has released a new Japanese poster for Avengers: Infinity War that features Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet looming over Tony Stark, Thor, and the other Avengers, as well as the Guardians. Familiar faces like Vision and Wong are missing here though, while Hawkeye and Ant-Man continue to remain unaccounted for in Infinity War‘s marketing.

Avengers: Infinity War Japanese Poster Lines Up the MCUs Finest

Supposedly Hawkeye has his own thing going on in Infinity War, which would explain why he has yet to appear in any of the film’s promotional material. Meanwhile, Ant-Man is set to return in this summer’s sequel Ant-Man & the Wasp, a film that appears to take place before the events of Infinity War. As such, there’s a real possibility that Scott Lang won’t show up at all for the big battle against Thanos and the Black Order.

Putting Thanos above everyone else in the Japanese poster makes sense, though the way the one-sheet reduces most of the Avengers in size might be noteworthy. Next to Iron Man, the God of Thunder has one of the biggest spots in this poster – something that makes sense, since it’s been indicated that Thor and Thanos get the most screen time overall, out of all the characters in Infinity War. Whether or not that means Thor is more likely to see his end in the film, however, is another matter altogether. Fortunately, it won’t be much longer before audiences find out what the film has in store for them, what with Avengers: Infinity War‘s theatrical release closer than ever now.
